Celebrating the Opening of Our New Outpatient Facility!

After many months of preparation and planning, on August 2, 2024, we opened the doors to our new outpatient facility in Jandakot! This facility is designed to provide a seamless experience for pets, their owners and referring vets. It’s a significant step forward in our commitment to providing ultrasound services to the Perth and wider community.

Here’s everything you need to know about our new facility:

Our New Home: 11/233 Berrigan Drive, Jandakot WA 6164

Nestled in the heart of Jandakot, our facility is conveniently located at 11/233 Berrigan Drive. Though it’s situated next to an existing vet practice, it operates independently to ensure a focused and dedicated environment for outpatient ultrasound care. We handle everything directly, from accepting referrals, contacting the owners to arrange the booking, admitting and sedating patients, submitting samples to the laboratory where necessary payment, and reporting to the primary vet.

Operating Hours: Fridays by Appointment Only

For the time being, our facility is open on Fridays by appointment only. PAUS will continue to operate as a mobile service to other veterinary clinics for the remainder of the week. We hope to be able to increase our outpatient availability in due course. Remember, appointments can only be made through referrals from your primary vet.

Streamlined Process for Referrals and Appointments

We understand how crucial it is to have a smooth and hassle-free experience when it comes to
your pet’s health. Here’s how our process works:

  • Referral: Your primary vet can refer to us using the submission form right here on our website! www. paus.com.au/book
  • Appointment: We will directly contact the pet owner to schedule an appointment with us on a Friday.
  • Drop-off: Bring your pet to our facility at the allotted time.
  • Procedure Duration: Depending on the procedure, pets will stay with us for 30 minutes to 2 hours. This will depend on the nature of the booked procedure(s) and whether we have had to sedate your pet for the examination, if we have had to obtain samples, and how quickly they recover from sedation if administered.
  • Pick-up: Collect your pet as soon as the procedure is complete and they are ready to go.
  • Payment: We take payments directly from the client on the day of the appointment.
  • Report: A comprehensive report is sent to the referring vet on the same day. We will also call the primary vet to discuss the case if needed, and in particular if there is a requirement for surgery or ongoing veterinary care following the ultrasound.
